Take the Plunge

Plunge into the New Year in a memorable, meaningful way!

Join the anticipation, excitement and camaraderie of the 26th Annual Cold for a Cause. Don’t worry about getting cold—the lives you will change by taking the plunge will warm your heart!

It’s the Chill-est Party in Town!

The fun begins on January 1st at 9 a.m. as the gates open at Willow Springs Park. Enjoy many pre-plunge festivities before the traditional beach formation and countdown to noon. Three, two, one! It’s a sight and experience you will NEVER forget!

We’ve made it simple.

Become a Polar Bear

Simply Click on the “Team” tab and register on-line. You can register individually or part of a team.  Encourage your family friends to sponsor you by using the on-line tools.  Or, print out the 2015-2016-Brochure and simply collect pledges and turn in at the gate on January 1, 2016.

Gather Your Cubs

Don’t let your friends and family be left out in in the cold. Add to the fun and excitement by forming a team.

Did you know a group of Polar Bears is called a Celebration?

We hope you have decided to join our Celebration. Now, let us help you raise some cold, hard cash for a great cause!

Here are some tools we have created for you and your cubs!

Plunger’s “Sponsor me!” Request Form

Remember everyone who collects pledges receives a FREE parking pass to park on the quarry grounds.  And, those who raise $100 or more will receive a voucher for a FREE commemorative T-shirt.

Follow all the pre- and post- plunge excitement on Facebook. Also, meet Cold for a Cause alumni and veterans!

Let the Celebration begin!

Still have cold feet?

Here are just a few polar bears that keep coming back year after year!

Team-Mikey-Aaron-LR

Team Mikey & Aaron

Mikey and Aaron were the 2009-2010 Ambassadors for Developmental & Disability Services of Lebanon Valley. That year, the team was formed and their father has taken the plunge every year since. The twins look forward to the day when they can join their dad. Many people are rooting for a time when Mikey and Aaron can take the plunge with their Dad.

Team BraveHeart

Team Brave Heart

With kilts, blue body paint and a festive spirit, it just wouldn’t be the same without Team Brave Heart in attendance. One year, they even hired a bagpipe player to perform a processional as they walked down to the waterfront.
